Aliyah Shell Is Dead

You probably don't know who Aliyah Shell is.  She's a 6-year-old girl who was murdered in a drive-by.

I doubt you have heard of Jonylah Watkins.  Just a baby, she was shot and killed in Chicago, apparently in a fight over a stolen video game.

Innocent children are murdered every day.  And yet we rarely hear about these cases.  Why not?  Because there's no race angle for our media to obsess over.

Today I listened to NPR for several hours.  The coverage was all about Trayvon Martin and the racism in our society.  I heard how scared black mothers are for the safety of their teenage sons.

Are you really afraid?  Then you should know 94% of black homicide victims are actually killed by other black peopleAnd 86% of white homicide victims are actually killed by white people.  So if you want to create a racial climate of fear and suspicion, then maybe mothers should tell their children to avoid people who look like us.

In truth, we all have free will.  Race determines nothing and it tells us nothing.  The rightness or wrongness of what George Zimmerman did to Trayvon Martin says nothing about American society, or about any other person.

Here is a transcript of Eric Holder's speech to the NAACP.  He talks about the Trayvon Martin case over and over.  And of course that case is a tragedy.  I can't imagine the anguish that family is going through.  And yet I feel the same way about Aliyah Shell and Johnylah Watkins and all the other anonymous victims.

The national upset about Trayvon Martin is almost entirely racial.  And this upset is manufactured by professional race hustlers who want their name in the paper and their face on the TV.  It is inflamed by politicians who seek aggrandizement, as well as "journalists" who are actually in the business of upsetting people for money.  That is why NBC news portrayed George Zimmerman as a racistNot because it was true, but because it would upset people and drive up ratings.

I feel great sympathy and respect for the family of Trayvon Martin, who suffered a great loss.  But I am quite appalled by the people who used their suffering to try to incite a racial mob.

Agree with Ari. This is the other side of post Althouse.

There was a post on Insta from Iowahawk, "Of all the young black shooting victims in this country, you can name 1. Because you’ve been trained like a circus seal to bark on command".

Ain't it da trut'!

These deaths of black or mixed race children are verboten topics to the MSM because minorities must not be criticized! After all, the culprit is the gangsta lifestyle. Really, there's no way to blame the horror on whitey. So these stories are quickly disappeared, or not reported period. And it works. That's the worst part of all. Draconian law enforcement, the only action that might curb these deaths, is off the table. That would be racisss. The only thing that concerns the establishment is that white guilt be maintained. Otherwise the whole charade might collapse.

Correction: There's a race angle, it's just not the race angle the media wants to discuss.
